PT Nestlé Indonesia is part of Nestlé SA, a company headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland. Nestlé was founded in 1866 by Henri Nestle and is today the world’s biggest food and beverage company. Sales at the end of 2005 were CHF 91 billon, with a net profit of CHF 8 billion.
Nestlé is known in Indonesia since 1910, through its Milkmaid or Tjap Nona brand. But only in March 29, 1971, Nestlé established PT Food Specialities Indonesia, which later turned into PT. Nestlé Indonesia, on December 29, 1993.
